How it works

The Seedbed Roll is a complete growing system of seed mat, seeds and integrated polytunnel, comprised of three layers:

• A grow mat: a blue paper base layer, through which the roots grow, made from GM-free sustainable virgin wood pulp. Repels pests, disease and suppresses weeds
• The best commercial quality prepared seed which is pre-sown
• A top layer of biodegradable UV transparent film that acts like a mini-cloche and conserves moisture and warmth while accelerating growth.

Seedbed Rolls can be sown from late March if conditions are suitable.

The 1.2m length of seedbed roll is the equivalent of 2 to 3 packets of seed and should yield at least 12 bags of salad over the season.
